The ADA were established in 2023, originally conceived by the ADU (Germany) and brought to life through collaboration with leading ADs associations: ADG (UK), AIARSE (Italy), AFAR (France), and SSFV (Switzerland).
Since then, the awards have been presented annually each spring, honoring the dedication, expertise, and impact of Assistant Directors. With a growing network of associations and unions, the ADAs shine a spotlight on the essential role ADs play in bringing productions to life, fostering collaboration, and maintaining the highest standards of excellence in the industry.
